Software Developer - UK (Sheffield based)

The Role

Do you want to work on software that revolutionises the production of radiopharmaceuticals for cancer scans?

We are seeking an additional member for our development team to design, develop, and test the market leader nuclear medicine LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System). The candidate will need to be experienced with C# .Net development, and willing to take on challenges to push the product forward.

You would join a passionate, dedicated team and have the ability to make real impact on all aspects of the product from day one, both inside and outside of development.

As a C# .NET developer you will be involved with the architecture, design, development, and testing of current and future functionality/products and will participate with the constant improvement of the team’s processes and procedures.

Outside of development there is opportunity to coordinate with our Marketing, Sales, and QA teams, as well as the potential for overseas travel to our customers’ sites for installation. We have a strong customer focus so the ideal candidate would be enthusiastic about taking ownership and developing the great relationship we have with our users. This relationship allows us to gather user requirements directly, to be turned into design specifications and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Write new and improve existing code
  • Work within an existing team and help to drive the project forward

Requirements

Essential

  • Five years commercial experience with C# .Net
  • Experience of object-oriented coding principles and design patterns
  • Experience with databases such as MSSQL and Oracle
  • Ability to communicate with customers and other departments clearly

Desirable

  • Experience with an ORM (NHibernate, Entity Framework, etc.)
  • Familiarity with DevExpress components
  • SQL syntax

QA Automation Tester - UK (Sheffield based)

The Role

Working within the QA and Automated Testing Team at our head office in Sheffield, you will help maintain and improve the quality and stability of our software through the development of automated testing. As an automated tester you will be writing and maintaining test scripts for current projects using JavaScript and python, as well as developing future automated testing projects.

You will be working with both windows and web-based applications testing through the development life cycle before our global leading software is released to the market. Your role is integral to the creation of our software systems and instrument functionality tests and as such you’ll be seen as the last line of defence before the software is released.

Life Sciences Sales Executive - UK (Sheffield based)

The role

We are looking for a candidate to join our team as a Product Specialist. The role is for established market area of Academia, Pharma and CRO with potential for further development with our new product additions to the range; hardware and software. As part of the Sales team, you will be provided training and support to become the best you can be. You will be mentored by a Senior colleague with many years’ experience in this field to take our growth to the next level.

Your role will initially involve covering the UK market and as you develop, your area of responsibility will increase and may include distributor management. While the role is initially predominantly UK based, there will be an element of foreign travel required to fulfil the role. You will understand our product portfolio such that you will be able to provide solutions to customers - you will be a solution provider.

In this position you will also work closely with other departments to develop the product customer base, increasing awareness of your products and providing an excellent overall customer experience. You will be provided with a company car, laptop, and mobile phone to assist you in your role.

Responsibilities

  • Keeping customer records accurate and up to date using the Company CRM regularly, including brief reports of all visits
  • Following company’s expectations. We have systems in place that are there as tools of the job. Correct use is expected at all times

Nuclear Medicine Product Specialist

Territory

LabLogic Systems, a privately-owned scientific instrument and software manufacturer is seeking a new Sales/Product Specialist for its Nuclear Medicine product line. LabLogic develops innovative instrumentation and software for use by researchers in academic, biotech, pharmaceutical, contract research, nuclear medicine and environmental laboratories.

Responsibilities

The Product Specialist will be responsible for direct sales of instruments and software products primarily to nuclear medicine production facilities. You will be responsible for planning your own activities from a home-based office, servicing incoming leads and maintaining relationships with existing clients. The role involves planning customer visits to arrange meetings and presentations as well as to maintain existing accounts. You will therefore need to be well presented, a good communicator and have a "hands-on" approach.

Qualifications

  • Prior laboratory or industry experience in nuclear medicine preferred
  • Ability to travel 50%+
  • Knowledge of HPLC, TLC, GC and/or similar laboratory instrumentation
  • Bachelor’s degree or better in the Life Science disciplines or proven sales experience in the field
