The Role

Do you want to work on software that streamlines the logistics surrounding radiopharmaceuticals for cancer scans?

We are seeking an additional member for our development team to design, develop, and test our Online Order Communications system for nuclear medicine. You will need to be an experienced full-stack Angular/C# .Net developer, and willing to take on challenges to push the product forward.

You would join a passionate, dedicated team and have the ability to make real impact on all aspects of the product from day one, both inside and outside of development.

As a full-stack developer you will be involved with the architecture, design, development, and testing of current and future functionality/products and will participate with the constant improvement of the team’s processes and procedures.

Outside of development there is opportunity to coordinate with our Marketing, Sales, and QA teams, as well as the potential for overseas travel to our customers’ sites for installation. We have a strong customer focus so we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about taking ownership and developing the great relationship we have with our users.

Quality Analyst - UK (Sheffield based)

The Role

As a Quality Analyst based at our Sheffield head office, you will join a team that's leading the industry and play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our globally acclaimed software products.

As a software tester you will be working closely with other members of the QA team as well as directly with our Software Developers and Service Engineers. You will be involved in the final testing of our global leading software products before they are released onto the market, as well as providing feedback from testing performed at key stages throughout the development process. Your role is integral to the creation of our software systems and instrument functionality tests and as such you’ll be seen as the last line of defence before the software is released.

In addition, there will be the need to perform regulatory controlled software validations for our highly regulated customers, which will be either off the shelf validations or bespoke validations and perform these at the customers’ facilities. Many of our customers who use our software work within drug discover and nuclear medicines and so possessing a scientific background within these fields would be advantageous. Knowledge or experience working within drug discovery or environmental studies would also be hugely beneficial.

In addition, as LabLogic Systems has ISO 9001 accreditation across a number of sites, there is the opportunity for the successful candidate to take part in conducting internal quality audits across the group. However, this is a potential secondary role to the main role of testing software.

Responsibilities

To maintain and perform thorough testing on our software using defined test scripts as well as testing relating to new functionality to make sure that it is working as intended and any finding reported back to the developers.

There are several projects that are currently being developed and the ability to adapt and switch between projects is essential. The main responsibilities include:

  • Working with software developers and project support teams
  • Performance testing
  • Functional testing
  • Writing and updating and executing test scripts
  • Writing bug reports
  • Working towards departmental and project deadlines

We have a strong customer focus so the ideal candidate would be enthusiastic about taking ownership and developing the great relationship we have with our users. This relationship allows us to gather user requirements directly, to be turned into design specifications and solutions.

Field Service Engineer – Life Sciences Instruments and Software - USA (New England based)

The Role

We are looking for an additional field service engineer based in the New England area to join our service team, providing field service, technical support, software support and operator training to our customers. The candidate will be responsible for providing installation, basic operator training, field service, validation, and technical support to our customers. The position would suit someone with proven FSE experience, or someone looking to move from laboratory work to a FSE role. This is a great opportunity to work with a customer-focused company supporting several niche product lines. This position will be based out of hired candidate's home-based office and will require heavy travel.

Responsibilities

  • On-site installation and basic operator training of instruments and software
  • Preventive maintenance, upgrades, and repair of our systems
  • Perform validation services (IQ/OQ) of hardware and software
  • Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair products at customer's location
  • Provide pre- and post-sales support
  • Work closely with service director to coordinate schedule and prioritize service needs
  • Assist as needed and as time allows with product demonstrations
  • Prepare service reports and enter work performed in service database in a timely manner

Drug Metabolism Product Specialist - USA (Chantilly, VA)

The Role

We are currently seeking a Field Sales Product Specialist for our Drug Metabolism product line. The product specialist will be responsible for sales of instruments, software, and consumable products primarily to pharmaceutical, agrochemical, and contract research organizations nationwide. You will be responsible for planning your own activities, servicing incoming correspondence, and maintaining relationships with existing clients. The role involves understanding the Drug Metabolism process and gaining sufficient knowledge to become a resource for our customers. You will be required to plan customer visits, arrange meetings, and provide technical presentations and/or demonstrations. The role requires supporting our existing accounts as well as developing new clients and business opportunities. When not traveling, you would be based at our corporate headquarters in Chantilly, VA, however, we will also consider home-based office positions. You will therefore need to have initiative, be well presented, a good communicator and have a "hands-on" approach.
