LabLogic Ltd - UK

Quality Analyst x2 - UK (Sheffield based and Bath based)

The Role

Currently there are two positions available, one located at our Bath office working with the Bath development team and the other position at our Head Office in Sheffield. Both positions will require you to work closely with other members of the QA team as well as directly with our Software Developers and Service Engineers. As a software tester you’ll be involved in the final testing of our global leading software products before they are released onto the market, as well as providing feedback from testing performed at key stages throughout the development process. Your role is integral to the creation of our software systems and instrument functionality tests and as such you’ll be seen as the last line of defence before the software is released. In addition, there will be the need to perform customer software validations, either off the shelf or custom made and perform these at the customers’ facilities. In addition as LabLogic Systems has ISO 9001 accreditation across a number of sites, there is the opportunity for the successful candidate to take part in conducting internal quality audits across the group. However this is a potential secondary role to the main role of testing software.

Responsibilities

To maintain and perform testing on our software following set that have been created and enhanced over many years and are used prior to release. There will also be testing required relating to new functionality to make sure that it is working as intended and any finding reported back to the developers.

It will be the successful candidate’s responsibility to make sure that the software has been tested thoroughly, correctly and that it is safe to be released.

There are a number of projects that are currently being developed and the ability to adapt and switch between projects is essential.

  • Working with software developers and project support teams

  • Writing and updating and executing test scripts
  • Writing bug reports
  • Working towards departmental and project deadlines

LabLogic Inc - US

Service Engineer - USA

The Role

We are looking a field service engineer to join our service team, preferably based on the West Coast. The candidate will be responsible for providing installation, basic operator training,  field service, validation and technical support to our customers. The position would suit someone with proven FSE experience, or someone looking to move from laboratory work to a FSE role. This is a great opportunity to work with a customer-focused company supporting several niche product lines. This position will be based out of hired candidate's home-based office and will require heavy travel.

Responsibilities

  • On-site installation and basic operator training of instruments and software
  • Preventive maintenance, upgrades and repair of our systems
  • Perform validation services (IQ/OQ) of hardware and software
  • Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair products at customer's location
  • Provide pre- and post-sales support
  • Work closely with service director to coordinate schedule and prioritize service needs
  • Assist as needed and as time allows with product demonstrations
  • Prepare service reports and enter work performed in service database in a timely manner
  • Maintain company equipment and property in order

Requirements

  • Engineering/Biology/Chemistry related degree with knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and software
  • 2 - 5 years professional field experience or laboratory background
  • Experience and knowledge of liquid chromatography (HPLC) or liquid scintillation counting
  • Must be highly motivated and have strong problem-solving ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Computer and software experience and proficiency is a must

Nuclear Medicine Product Specialist - USA (Nationwide)

The Role

The Product Specialist will be responsible for sales of instruments and software products primarily to nuclear medicine facilities. You will be responsible for planning your own activities from a home-based office, servicing incoming leads and maintaining relationships with existing clients. The role involves planning customer visits to arrange meetings, presentations and technical demonstrations as well as to maintain existing accounts. You will therefore need to be well presented, a good communicator and have a "hands-on" approach.

Requirements

  • Prior laboratory or sales experience in nuclear medicine preferred
  • Ability to travel 50%+
  • Knowledge of HPLC, TLC, GC and/or other laboratory instrumentation
  • Bachelor’s degree or better in the Life Science disciplines or proven sales experience in the field

Logistics Specialist (Shipping/ Receiving/ Warehouse) - USA

The Role

You will be an integral part of our US operations in helping us fulfill customer orders on a timely basis. You will be based at our Tampa office and have the opportunity to work with our sales and service teams throughout the country as well as at our headquarters in the UK to support our daily business functions. This is an entry level position which can lead to greater responsibilities or other roles within the organization for well qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for receiving inbound shipments from suppliers for order consolidation and other company needs
  • Responsible for packing and arranging outgoing shipments to fulfill customer orders and other company needs
  • Completes required shipping documentation and interacting with carriers regrading freight
  • Collect, maintain and account for all receiving and shipping documentation
  • Routes foreign and domestic shipments by assigning relevant freight carrier
  • Interacts with freight carriers, employees and customers for shipment status
  • Approves carrier invoices for payment
  • Maintains suitable stock levels of accessories and consumables
  • Performs goods inspection of delicate scientific instruments
  • Responsible for careful packaging of outgoing shipments
  • Coordinates outbound and inbound shipments of booth displays and equipment used at trade shows
  • Prints and collates document test scripts
  • Maintains a clean work area through good housekeeping practices
