Designed for laboratories where sample volume directly impacts productivity

The Hidex AMG XT is the next generation of gamma counter. Featuring a high level of automation and a large conveyor capable of holding up to 500 samples, it delivers more efficient throughput than other models, enabling laboratories and clinical production facilities to achieve greater productivity. By counting so many samples in a single workflow, it accelerates research cycles and daily operations.

Features

Reduced Radiation Exposure

The AMG XT minimizes occupational radiation exposure by reducing manual interactions with radioactive materials. Its automated handling capabilities streamline processes while helping laboratories maintain compliance and safety standards.

Increased Capacity

Newly designed robust sample racks ensure smooth, reliable movement, even during heavily loaded runs to combine high‑throughput with precise engineering. The conveyor can hold up to 500 samples, allowing users to produce traceable and reproducible quantitative data.

Integrated Onboard Balance

The integrated onboard balance is one of the counter’s most powerful features, eliminating manual weighing steps and enabling automatic activity‑per‑mass calculations. This supports accurate ex vivo quantification and reduces operator error, making the AMG XT an exceptional tool for quantitative biodistribution, precise pharmacokinetic modelling, and reliable tracer uptake studies.

Sensitive Radiation Measurements

For radiation detection, the counter features a 3-inch NaI well‑type detector that delivers excellent counting efficiency, supported by optimized lead shielding (up to 80 mm) for low background and minimal interference from nearby high‑activity samples. A powerful multichannel analyzer (MCA) enables detailed spectrum analysis up to 4 MeV, supporting nuclear medicine and PET isotope measurements with precision.

Optional Features

The Hidex AMG XT comes with several optional upgrades, allowing users to tailor the instrument to their own unique requirements.

  • 425-645 Sample Balance
  • 425-646 2D vial ID reader
  • 425-640 Extended MCA for high energy isotopes
  • 450-601 21 CFR part 11 security support software
