How-to video: Hidex 300 SL wipe testing

See how the revolutionary Hidex 300 SL liquid scintillation counter is used for wipe testing in our latest video
In the video, Mahi Rahman, Product Specialist at LabLogic, demonstrates step-by-step how to use the Hidex 300 SL for wipe testing using LabWipes and ScintLogic cocktail.
The Hidex 300 SL boasts a unique triple PMT detector system that can help assess a false-positive from true radioactivity.
Unique triple-to-double coincidence ratio (TDCR) with the Hidex 300 SL
True radioactivity will have a mirroring blue and red spectrums. The shape of the spectrums will vary based on isotope. The width of the spectrums will vary base on quench and the height of the spectrums will vary based on activity.
Luminescence (false-positive) cannot occur on three PMTs in coincidence but can occur on two PMTs (like a traditional LSC).
Utilising the 300 SL unique TDCR can assess if your wipe samples have true radioactivity or a false-positive (high counts but no mirroring spectrums).
