Acknowledging LabLogic’s position as a global leader

To mark the first anniversary of the LabLogic Group being awarded the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade, the Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire, Professor Dame Hilary Chapman DBE, has visited LabLogic to present the award in person. First announced as a recipient in 2023, the esteemed award recognises the company’s outstanding success in overseas exports. Valid for 5 years, it is an acknowledgment of LabLogic’s position as a global leader in the highly regulated fields in which we work, including nuclear medicine, nuclear power, defence, and drug discovery.

As the personal representative of HM The King for South Yorkshire, Dame Hilary visited Innovation House on Tuesday 6th August to bestow the Grant of Appointment, officially conferring the award upon LabLogic following a tour of the business with Group Chairman John Clapham and Managing Director Richard. In addition to the Lord-Lieutenant, we were also pleased to be joined by the Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Cllr Jayne Dunn, and the Master Cutler, Mr Charles Turner.

“The impact that this company has on people's lives is global …”

During the presentation of the Award, Dame Hilary said, “The King's Award for Enterprise is the most prestigious award that businesses can win in the UK. It's incredibly difficult to gain, and in this particular category of International Trade, it is really challenging. What I've seen today when I've gone round LabLogic is an organisation that works in an industry that is highly regulated but also highly specialised as well. The impact that this company has on people's lives is global, and that reach is significant.”

“… a real milestone.”

John said, “It’s been a remarkable journey for the company. Starting from very humble beginnings in a bedroom in Sheffield, to a global enterprise with sales in over 100 countries and offices in the UK, US, France and Germany.”

Richard added, “Being honoured with the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade is a real milestone, something that I hope all the staff across the Group are incredibly proud of. Like all businesses, we face challenges along the way. But we've taken opportunities, we've built strong lasting relationships with partners and clients across many borders.

“… a source of great pride.”

“At the core of our vision is an aspiration to be the world's leading supplier in the specific niche markets that we serve. It sounds ambitious, but we have achieved that in a number of areas. We're also committed to innovation and proud of the cutting-edge solutions we provide. In nuclear medicine and pharmaceutical research, our products play a crucial role in driving advancements in these critical areas, often leading to improved patient care, and advancements in the field of medicine, and it’s a source of great pride.

Richard summarised the vision for the future, saying, “We will continue to strive to make a positive impact in healthcare and beyond. And as we look forward to the future, I'm excited with our great team, valued partners, and loyal customers, we're confident in our ability to achieve even greater heights. We'll continue to concentrate on great products, superb after-sales service, as well as focus on providing a great place for all our staff to work.”
