Compatibility with Laura Radiopharma

When collecting fractions from radio-HPLC for radiochemical purity analysis, reconstructing a clear and accurate radiochromatogram from discrete fractions can be difficult and involve manual data entry and calculations. This is particularly true if peak shapes are not symmetrical or if the fractions have variable times/volumes. But with a recent update to Laura Radiopharma which allows it to control the Hidex AMG automatic gamma counter, users can build radiochromatograms when using fraction collection in a regulatory compliant environment.

Standardised control and data management

Until now, users have had to rely on manual data handling using tools such as Excel to build a chromatogram from fractions. Not only can Laura control the Hidex AMG, but it can also control common HPLC systems from leading manufacturers including LabLogic, Shimadzu, and Agilent, providing a standardised method of control and data management throughout your lab.

Above is an example of the Hidex AMG’s sample table in Laura Radiopharma showing counts from each fraction vial.

Even as fraction times and volumes change over the course of the HPLC run, Laura can correct data to product a compliant, accurate radiochromatogram as shown above.

Compliant counting

The Hidex AMG is designed for precise counting and high throughput. By integrating it with Laura Radiopharma, users gain a compliant solution that ensures data integrity and meets requirements defined by FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and EU Annex 11. Laura Radiopharma eliminates the need for manual data handling and reduces the reliance on non-compliant tools like Excel to mitigate human error.

High throughput for busy departments

Traditional counters typically require manual input by users to operate and can only accommodate a limited number of samples. However, the AMG can count 230 small (13 mm) vials or 72 large (28 mm) vials automatically. This makes it ideal for busy radiopharmacies and nuclear medicine departments handling large volumes of samples.
