Tracerco radiation monitors - a range of instruments to meet the challenge of monitoring large facilities
13 November 2013
The Tracerco range of monitors is proving extremely useful for RPOs who are responsible for providing coverage of large sites with a range of differing requirements, such as academic institutions. LabLogic work closely with a number of universities throughout the UK providing radiation monitoring solutions and in many cases recommend the Tracerco range.
One university that recently purchased a selection of monitors for their site was particularly impressed by the look and ease of use of the Tracerco instruments. The PED with Dosevision software is perfect for our needs, said the RPO. We use it to measure dose for our members of staff who are working for long periods with higher activities. We also use them to give to contractors and workmen to ensure we have an accurate dose assessment when they have completed their work.
We use the T401 Contamination Monitor in the lab for routine contamination monitoring of work areas and waste bins and the T406 Dose Rate Monitor is ideal for measuring the dose rate in controlled areas and for leakage detection on X-ray devices.
Getting the right advice can be a challenge. LabLogic made the process very easy, demonstrating the capabilities of each instrument and their suitability for particular tasks. They answered all my queries quickly and effectively.
Overall the monitors are very user friendly which is excellent for students. The PEDs are really helpful, providing an immediate dose assessment. Based on our experience with LabLogic and the Tracerco range, we would have no hesitation in using their services again. We have already placed orders for other equipment and have also recommended them to other departments within the university.
