Direct imaging speeds radio-synthesis purity checks

17 June 2008

The AR 2000 imaging scanner from LabLogic Systems gives radio-synthesis laboratories a fast and accurate means of measuring the purity of their product in real time without the need for a full HPLC system. Lanes with 1,000 DPM of 3H or 100 DPM of 14C can be imaged in a few minutes.

Three versions of the AR 2000 are available. The one-plate version takes up the least space, yet it counts a full-size 20 cm x 20 cm TLC plate in either 1-D or 2-D modes; ideal for single users with just a few lanes to count at any one time. For labs with a high throughput, the two- or three-plate versions are more suitable.

Whichever configuration is chosen, the AR 2000 provides fast and accurate results in real time with minimal labour requirements from the operator.
