Regulatory compliance for radiolabelled studies
LabLogic’s Stacy software for sample tracking and radioisotope inventory management has been successfully implemented by Contact Research Organisations working with samples labelled with isotopes such as 14C, 3H, and 32P. Designed to simplify essential record-keeping for compounds and samples, Stacy is allowing laboratories working on studies that involve radiolabelled compounds to comply with 21 CFR Part 11.
Superseding paper-based systems
Stacy has been designed to supersede paper-based systems which can be burdensome and dependent on human accuracy. It allows users to manage sample custody in a fully compliant electronic environment to meet regulatory standards. By introducing Stacy, users can improve efficiency, avoid incomplete documentation, and more importantly, enhance their regulatory compliance.
Integration with Debra Metabolism LIMS

Stacy can be fully integrated with LabLogic’s Debra LIMS to create a fully functioning electronic process for the ordering, receipt, issue, and disposal of radiolabelled samples, providing a full chain of custody. All samples produced in a study using Debra can be automatically populated into Stacy and tracked. It enables users to log samples and track everything from sample receipt to sample disposal. Stacy and Debra have been designed for regulated markets and the integration between the two provides users with a fully streamlined sample process.
Drag-and-drop functionality for sample management
Stacy features a drag-and-drop tool that allows users to visually manage sample storage locations, making it easier to track and document sample movements. When a study is first registered in Stacy, it populates all available samples in the software, enabling batch sample receipts. Once the sample batch is populated, Stacy allows users to select some or all of them and drag them into the appropriate freezer or storage location.
Support with validation
Introducing a new system within a highly regulated environment can be challenging due to time-consuming validation processes, but LabLogic has the experience to provide the qualification services needed. We have been validating Laboratory Information Management Systems for decades, and this knowledge can be invaluable to users hesitant to introduce a new system because of limitations in time and staff.
LabLogic provides full IQ, OQ and PQ services, with on-site visits where necessary, to perform some of this work. By providing these services, customers can offset the common problems experienced by sourcing external consultants such as uncertain timescales and inflated costs. By guiding users through the implementation process, we can manage the digitisation of sample tracking through systems such as Stacy.
