Turnkey PET QC solution on show at 2011 EANM Congress
10/10/2011
PET radiopharmaceutical professionals setting up or upgrading a complete QC laboratory to comply with imminent FDA regulations can see all the equipment and services they need on the LabLogic Systems stand at the European Association of Nuclear Medicine Annual Congress 2011 (Birmingham, UK, 15 to 19 October).
As the 12 December deadline for the QC tests and acceptance criteria set out in the CFR part 212 regulations draws perilously close, the company has put together a turn-key package that frees customers from the time-consuming frustrations of dealing with several different suppliers and co-ordinating the whole project .
Central to LabLogics offer is its PETra LIMS - a complete process management system tailored to the needs of PET facilities, including direct acquisition of data from all the laboratorys instruments without manual transcription (and therefore without transcription errors), and generation of consolidated batch reports incorporating all relevant processes.
PETra interfaces with another crucial part of the QC system - LabLogics Laura-for-PET chromatography software, a single point of control for radio-detectors, radio-TLC scanners, multi-channel analysers, HPLCs, GCs and other associated instruments.
For PET/SPECT detection, the company has two newly launched options: the two instruments in one Scan-RAM for radio-TLC and radio-HPLC, and Flow-RAM for radio-HPLC only.
Even with all the hardware and software in place, validation can be the stumbling block to getting new systems up and running on time, but LabLogic is able to apply its years of experience in this field, working in partnership with the system manager and users to develop and implement a tailored, GMP-compliant validation plan compatible with the customers corporate standards.
Last but by no means least are full operations training for users and, in the event of difficulties, service and support that is only an e-mail or phone call away.
