The alternative to traditional HPLC
The proliferation of nuclear medicine to diagnose and treat a range of illnesses has seen many older facilities retrospectively fitted with QC equipment to provide new therapies, meaning bench space is often restricted. The recently updated Logi-CHROM ONE is a small, simple solution for radio-HPLC that provides a light, cost-effective alternative to traditional HPLC stacks.
The new model improves usability by introducing a split-door design for easy access when loading samples, and the cabinet’s status LEDs provides users with a quick visual indicator as to the unit’s operational status. It has been designed specifically to be easier and quicker to setup and maintain, being a plug-and-play system with limited connections.
What’s inside?
Because the Logi-CHROM ONE is an integrated system as opposed to several modules stacked together, training and validation requirements are significantly reduced. It combines the most common HPLC modules into a single, all-in-one solution and features:
> Low-pressure gradient quaternary pump to deliver and blend up to four solvents.
> Integrated UV detector, commonly used for cold chromatography.
> Manual sample loader with injection actuated electronically to deliver superb sample integrity for maximum efficiency and accuracy. Options for sample injection are available through an automated switching valve and autosampler.
> Radioactivity detector based on our proven Flow-RAM 2 with three options available.
Your choice of radioactivity detector
Each of the radioactivity detector’s options allows you to configure the Logi-CHROM ONE to your requirements. Whether you’re using common gamma-emitters such as 99mTc or 18F, or weaker ones like 125I, there are suitable choices for all.
> 1” NaI(TI) scintillation detector for detecting gamma-emitting radionuclides in the energy range 20 keV to 1.5 MeV.
> 2” NaI(TI) scintillation detector for detecting gamma-emitting radionuclides in the energy range 30 keV to 3 MeV.
> 4π NaI(TI) well-type scintillation detector for detecting lower energy gammas using almost complete solid angle coverage.
A single point of control
Like all LabLogic instruments and many others, the Logi-CHROM ONE is controlled by Laura Radiopharma, our software for instrument control and radiochromatography data analysis. By providing a single point of control for radio-TLC, GC, and gamma spectrometry, it delivers a consistent, reliable approach to reporting for radiopharmacies and nuclear medicine departments, with complete data integrity when used with our LIMS, PETra and SPECTra.
