A range of detection modes for academia
The Hidex Sense is a compact, multimode microplate reader. Designed to make plate reading quick and simple across a range of detection modes, it is commonly used in research and teaching. In this latest video, Product Specialist Jake Brocklehurst guides us through the instrument and demonstrates its intuitive software, which is compatible with touchscreen devices.
Small footprint, big performance
The Sense is compact, measuring only 20 cm wide, meaning it can fit in labs with limited space or environmental chambers for live cell studies such as enzyme kinetics and microbial growth. Despite its small size, it includes a host of features as standard including temperature control up to 65°C, microplate shaking for agitating contents, and optical filters for dual excitation and emission.
Customisable for specific study types
The Sense is available in several models configured for specific testing, including both radiometric and non-radiometric assays. Further customisation is available for bespoke applications. The plate reader comes preloaded with predefined assays but also allows customer templates to be generated by the user, allowing the instrument to be tailored to specific applications.
