What are the current challenges with ordering radiopharmaceuticals?
Our online ordering system – Orla – is providing manufacturers with a simple and secure way of supplying radiopharmaceuticals for therapeutics and diagnostics to customers. It is an original, novel solution for ordering developed by LabLogic to address existing challenges present in outdated methods of communication such as fax and verbal orders by telephone. By introducing a modern digital system, common issues are avoided such as:
> Faxes partially received or “garbled”.
> Emails filtered into spam or junk folders.
> Emails not being read in a timely manner.
> Transcription errors when taking orders by telephone.
In addition to mitigating these issues, Orla provides an efficient ordering process that allows commercial radiopharmaceutical producers to effectively plan production and manage order deadlines in a secure, compliant manner. This allows manufacturers to see in real-time what is being ordered and when. It is a flexible platform that can seamlessly integrate into other existing systems such as LabLogic’s PETra and SPECTra LIMS or third-party software like Sage.
So who’s using it?
Orla has already been successfully introduced at various sites including Evergreen Theragnostics, a CDMO specialising in PET and SPECT production in the US and it has recently been implemented by another global manufacturer with production in Europe.
