What is Orla?

Orla is an online ordering platform of radiopharmaceuticals. Orla provides an efficient way for ordering directly from the customer to the radiopharmacy supplier. It can be used as standalone system or with a bi-directional integration to a LIMS solution.

How does Orla address different time zones?

Orla supports any time zone. Orla will convert the ‘use date’ of the order when the production facility and the delivery address are in different time zones. This includes calculating the half-life when using the Production Plan in Orla.

Is Orla compatible with ordering therapeutics which may have a limited supply?

Orla gives the ability to control ordering based on a production plan. The production plan can be set with a maximum activity, or allow ordering based on the number of orders. This can be used to ensure that orders are not placed that cannot be fulfilled.

Why is Orla hosted in cloud?

Hosting Orla on the cloud provides flexibility, scalability, cost efficiency, and accessibility that traditional on-premises systems struggle to match.

What redundancy is there?

Orla is hosted on Microsoft Azure which allows for multiple layers of redundancy across infrastructure and services. What do I need to provide to have Orla installed and operational?

Orla can be hosted by us, which requires no work from our customer. Alternatively, Orla can be deployed into your own cloud environment which would require some setup to complete however we are on hand at every step to ensure this runs smoothly.

What problem does Orla solve for a radiopharmaceutical supplier?

Orla transforms ordering from a manual, high-risk bottle neck into a controlled, compliant, and scalable system, which is especially critical in Radiopharmaceuticals with short half-lives and tight delivery windows.

Can Orla be used for clinical trial dose ordering?

Yes, Orla can be used for clinical trial dose ordering. Orla allows you to configure any product and these pre-configured products are assigned to specific customers for ordering.

How does Orla facilitate searchability?

Every data set in Orla has filtering capabilities. Searches can also be saved and recalled in a couple of clicks. As each user may only need certain information e.g. ‘Orders with a status of booked for today’, the searches are individual for each user.

What oversight does Orla provide to the order lifecycle?

Orla provides a full oversight of orders, from new orders being placed, to orders that have been booked in for production. Dashboards also provide useful trending of order data.

How does Orla manage order management?

Products in Orla can be configured to help with order management. This includes, configuring when an order should be considered late, how much advanced notice must be given, how far in advance orders can be placed and if there are any maximum or minimum quantities that can be supplied.

How do I make sure the orders that are placed are suppliable?

Orla gives the ability to control ordering based on a production plan. The production plan can be set with a maximum activity, or allow ordering based on the number of orders. This can be used to ensure that orders are not placed that cannot be fulfilled.

What problem does Orla solve for a hospital that orders radiopharmaceuticals from the supplier?

Orla provides a simple and effective way of order radiopharmaceuticals. It reduces transcript errors, gives full visibility during the order life cycle and provides status updates to ensure ordering users are kept informed.

Does Orla provide batch reference and status updates?

Batch references can be added to all orders and status update emails are sent to the ordering user and site email address if configured. Status emails include, booking, unbooking, rejecting, shipped and delivering.

How do I manage change requests?

Once an order is booked in for production it cannot be amended by the ordering user unless they submit a change request. The change request can either be accepted or rejected by the supplier. If it is accepted the order is automatically updated with the changes and if it is declined, the order details remain the same at the point of booking.

Can I order past an agreed cut-off time?

Orla can facilitate ordering past an agreed cut-off time; these are considered to be ‘late orders’. An order cut off time can be configured per product and any order placed after this time is considered late. The late orders can then be accepted or declined and email notifications are sent to help ensure the supplier is informed.

What security features does Orla provide?

Suppliers manage end-user access to Orla in two, flexible ways. You can either create customer users directly, or assign a designated user at each of your customers to act as the administrator for users. Customer user administrators take responsibility for managing their organization’s users. This effectively pushes the user management responsibility from the supplier out to the customers and ensuring access control is handled locally and efficiently. Even when customers manage their own users, supplier administrators retain the ability to manage access too, providing an extra layer of oversight and support.

Can Orla be used to supply hot and cold products?
